Expanding Access to Mental Health Care in Rural Communities
Too many people in our community struggle to access care. This initiative is focused on changing that—by building something local, accessible, and grounded in real community needs.
Why This Matters
This is something I’ve been working toward for a while—because I keep seeing the same gaps in care in our community.
In rural areas, getting mental health support isn’t always simple.
Long waitlists. Limited providers. Traveling out of the area just to be seen.
Not because people don’t want help—but because accessing it isn’t always possible.
The Vision
The goal is to build something that feels different—something that actually meets people where they are.
Expanded access to outpatient mental health services
School-based support for youth
Community-centered wellness and support programs
A future vision that includes walk-in access to care
What Makes This Different
Built specifically for rural communities
Designed to reduce barriers to care
Focused on training and supporting future clinicians
Grounded in a whole-person, community-centered approach
This initiative is being developed based on direct clinical experience working with individuals and families in rural communities.
