About Kristy

Kristine (Kristy) Taylor provides compassionate, supportive telehealth therapy for adults and couples throughout California. She works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth, and offers a thoughtful, collaborative approach tailored to each client’s needs.

I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #130076), and am under the supervision of Laura Curry, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT #113832). I am also a Brainspotting practitioner, a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), and am trained in trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT). I am currently accepting new clients throughout California for telehealth therapy sessions.

I have a soft spot in my heart for those with anxiety, PTSD and other traumas, and have worked extensively with wildfire survivors. My base is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I tend to use an eclectic approach, based on what is clinically appropriate for my client. I am also an interfaith chaplain, so clients who choose to may also request a more spiritual approach.

Nature and humor are two great healers, free of charge. When not in the office, I find joy caring for many animals (“love is a four-legged word”), and participating in various rescue efforts. I can regularly be found on the hiking trails around Northern California as a wonderful form of self-care. I believe in finding humor in as many areas of life as possible, and try to live the motto: “The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache” (Marjorie Pay Hinckley).
