Welcome to Your Path to Healing

Life's journey can present us with unexpected challenges, but you don't have to navigate them alone. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #130076), I’m here to offer a compassionate and supportive space for you to explore, heal, and grow. I provide telehealth sessions to clients across California, meeting you wherever you are on your journey.

I believe in the power of connection—not only with others but with ourselves. My approach is a blend of professional training and personal authenticity. I find that two of the greatest healers are nature and a good sense of humor, and I strive to bring that lighthearted, grounded perspective into my work. I look forward to working together to help you find more joy, clarity, and peace.

My Therapeutic Approach

Your therapy is a unique journey, and I’m here to be your guide. While my foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" model. Instead, I use an eclectic and collaborative approach, drawing from a variety of modalities to create a plan that fits your specific needs. This might include:

  • Brainspotting: A powerful technique that helps process and release trauma.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): A specialized approach for addressing the unique needs of those who have experienced trauma.

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): Focused on helping you become more present and aware of your thoughts and feelings.

  • Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) & Internal Family Systems (IFS): These help to heal relational wounds and better understand the different parts of ourselves.

In addition to my clinical training, I am also an interfaith chaplain. If you wish, we can incorporate a spiritual perspective into your healing process, providing another avenue for meaning and strength.

Who I Work With

I have a deep commitment to helping those who have experienced trauma, particularly wildfire survivors and first responders. I understand the unique challenges you face and am dedicated to providing a safe space for you to process and recover. My areas of focus also include:

  • Anxiety and Stress Management: Learning practical skills to cope with worry, panic, and the pressures of daily life.

  • Healing from Trauma: Working through the impacts of past events and finding a path to resilience.

  • Navigating Relationship and Family Issues: Improving communication and resolving conflicts in your most important relationships.

  • Grief and Loss: Finding ways to honor your feelings and move forward after a loss.

  • Addressing Depression: Cultivating hope and building a life that feels meaningful.

A Bit About Me

When I'm not in a session, you can often find me on the hiking trails of Northern California, as it’s a wonderful form of self-care. I’m also a huge animal lover and find great joy in caring for my four-legged friends and participating in animal rescue efforts. I truly believe, as Marjorie Pay Hinckley once said, that “The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache.”

I look forward to meeting you and helping you find a sense of humor and hope on your journey.
